Background

Growing up, I had a lot of opportunities to be the recipient of various acts of kind services to the community such as the Robotics Team that a group of Mentors graciously gave up a huge chunk of their time for. From teaching CAD, programming, teamwork, and presentation skills I could definitely come to appreciate everything they've done for me in high school to let me grow and love STEM. It is no exagerration to say they had a great impact on my life and is the reason why I'm in Computer Science.

Also, in high school, I got the opportunity to work with the Houston Zoo in their program called Zoo Crew to promote conservation efforts around the world to Zoo Visitors, and these two experiences made me realize how important education is to promote for the younger generation

Now

Currently, I am a Peer Teacher for the Introduction to Coding Class that every incoming freshmen in the College of Engineering has to take, and although there are more advanced and exciting classes to help teach, I like the chance to help build a solid foundation of coding for people's first time coding especially in the way the world is technologically advancing. I am part of the group of Peer Teachers that run the largest TAMU Discord and in the future, I am currently trying(and hoping) to expand that Discord to help guide all incoming Engineering Freshmen beyond coding.

The Future

In the future, I hope to continue to give back to the community in the form of teaching and mentoring. I would like to get my Masters Degree and maybe PhD to do ML research for children's education. I am currently in Dr. Hammond's Sketch Recognition Lab that emphasizes heavily on child development. Additionally, I would like the opportunity to mentor a FRC team in the future because I believe it helps build a community. The opportunities I had growing up made me realize how important community and a good foundation is for the development.
